New Relic® for Atlassian Confluence®

Supports Confluence 5.5.6 - 5.8.x

New Relic is a software analytics platform that remotely monitors application performance through your New Relic administration console.

This platform empowers developers, IT and operations administrators, and business leaders to transform their business using real-time data about their infrastructure systems. Through the data captured by New Relic, operators can make calibrated decisions about how to manage, troubleshoot, and tune their production web applications.

What does it do?

With this add-on, Confluence server metrics are monitored by New Relic, and graphically displayed so you can track the health of your server. Tracked metrics include:

Confluence usage metrics
  • The number of site spaces
  • The number of personal spaces
  • The total number of spaces
  • The number of current content items (pages, blog posts, etc)
  • The number of previous (earlier versions than current) content items
  • The total number of content items
  • The number of local users
  • The number of local groups
Java internal metrics
  • The number of available processors
  • The amount of memory used by Java
  • The amount of free memory available
  • The total amount of server memory

The plugin summary page lists your Confluence instances, showing for each instance the number of content items, the number of spaces, and the number of local users.

The default dashboard includes a graph of the Java memory usage of your Confluence installation, which can be viewed over periods as short as thirty minutes, or as long as three months. Individual data points within the selected period can be examined simply by hovering the mouse pointer over the corresponding time on the chart.

Confluence usage statistics are displayed in a table that is included on the default dashboard.
